ML in Health Science (MLHS)

Medical Publisher & Journal for web-based AI/ML applications in healthcare and research (ISSN 2942-8726). Explore ready-to-use browser tools, list your web app, and publish peer-reviewed work.

Why MLHS

ML in Health Science (MLHS) is a platform for promoting and publishing ready-to-use, browser-based AI/ML tools for healthcare and research. We focus on real-world utility: apps that can be explored directly on the web, and projects that can be improved through clinician-led feedback and peer review.

Our approach brings clinicians and digital health developers into one community — so that tools are not only innovative, but also practical, reviewable, and easier to adopt in real workflows.

Who MLHS is for

1) Clinicians

  • Choose web apps to support everyday questions and help structure clinical workflows.
  • Use tools directly in your smartphone browser — without heavy, bureaucratic interfaces.
  • Join peer review and help shape what “useful clinical AI” should look like.

2) Researchers

  • Build new tools with MLHS apps and make research outputs usable beyond a PDF.
  • Share solutions on the web so healthcare practitioners can access them in real-world settings.
  • List your web tools in the Apps Hub to increase visibility and adoption.

3) Digital health developers

  • Build real clinical-world solutions and improve them through peer review and clinician feedback.
  • Publish and iterate toward real-life usability, safety, privacy, and workflow fit.

4) Patients & the public

  • Explore patient-facing tools for education, self-assessment, and health information discovery in the browser.
  • Use AI search tools to find relevant medical information and resources more efficiently.
  • Support shared decision-making by bringing structured questions and summaries to clinical appointments.

5) AI / ML / DeSci enthusiasts

  • Become a reviewer and user: explore tools, provide feedback, and support better digital health.
  • Contribute to a community focused on practical, web-deployable healthcare innovation.

How MLHS works

MLHS is organized into four core areas: Main, Apps, Journal, and Services.

Main page (Navigator & updates)

  • The main page acts as a navigator and blog: recent publications, app announcements, and community updates.
  • It’s your starting point to discover what’s new across MLHS.

Apps Hub (Explore & list tools)

  • The Apps Hub is where apps are collected and presented in one place.
  • Apps are based on an account + credits system.
  • It can include external peer-reviewed apps (with their own access/paywall processing) and internal MLHS apps (free or payable via MLHS Credits).
  • You can purchase credits in your account using supported payment methods and use credits to access credited apps.
  • Some MLHS apps let you build and deploy your own web apps, including the MLHS Playground (numerical, image, video, or audio input, where supported).
  • Apps created with MLHS can be submitted for listing in the Apps Hub.
  • If accepted and usage-based monetization applies, MLHS may share revenue with creators per use (based on the app’s terms).

Journal (Peer-reviewed publishing)

  • Publish peer-reviewed work and practical digital health tools.
  • DOI-based publishing with enhanced, interactive editorial presentation.
  • Where applicable, publishing can be supported by blockchain/Web3 verification elements.

Services (Support for your project)

  • Get editorial and scientific support for web-based AI/ML and digital health projects.
  • Help with publishing readiness, presentation, and real-world alignment.

Note: MLHS tools are designed to support healthcare and research workflows, not replace professional judgment.
